From predictive maintenance and remote monitoring with augmented reality glasses, to the surveillance of goods and load carriers in the warehouse or wireless connectivity for more flexible production – the Internet of Things is the innovation driver in industry. The majority of networked objects in Industry 4.0 communicate in close range on a WLAN. However, this technology is reaching its limits, while at the same time, mobile transmission quality is increasing. The future is standardized 5G networks on business campuses. They enable connectivity of a large number of devices and guarantee service quality on the entire campus. The data is protected because it never leaves the campus infrastructure.
