Telenet turns to ZTE to transform BASE network in Belgium

ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, today announced the signing of a major network modernisation deal with Telenet, the largest provider of cable broadband services in Belgium. Telenet acquired mobile operator BASE from KPN for €1.325 billion in 2015.
Signed today, ZTE has been selected by Telenet as the official vendor for its national UniRan radio access network in Belgium. ZTE will deliver a state-of-the-art modernized and enhanced UniRan technology.
