On March 07, 2023, Semtech Corporation, a provider of high-performance semiconductors, IoT systems, and cloud connectivity services, announced the expansion of its FiberEdge® portfolio with the production availability of two new transimpedance amplifier (TIA) solutions, offering best-in-class outcomes for use in high-performance optical modules running at 25Gbps for 5G wireless infrastructure.
Semtech's two new FiberEdge® solutions deliver high-performance signal integrity necessary for optical module solutions that market leaders use in wireless infrastructure, data center/enterprise networking, and passive optical network markets.
The FiberEdge® GN1400 and GN1300 are single-lane 24-28Gbps non-return-to-zero (NRZ) TIAs designed for use in both multiple color and grey (single color) wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) optical modules. In addition, both the GN1300 and GN1400 support industrial temperature range operation to be employed in optical modules for front-haul and aggregate networks in 5G wireless base stations. The solutions will be displayed at Semtech's booth #1901 at the Optical Fiber Communication Conference (OFC) in San Diego, California, from March 7-9, 2023.
