CommScope, a provider of network connectivity solutions, recently announced that RUCKUS Networks had launched a new series of scalable, entry-level edge switches with 25 GPBS uplink ports. The series features the first entry-level enterprise switch that provides fiber-to-the-room connectivity.

The ICX 8200 series is currently available in models with gigabit copper edge ports. In the first half of 2023, models with multigigabit edge ports and fiber edge ports will also be offered.
