Moeco's New Container Monitoring Solution Boosts Margins of Logistics Companies

Moeco | June 01, 2022

Moeco
Moeco, a provider of visibility solutions that improve global supply chain operations, has launched a smart container monitoring solution that enables logistics companies to significantly reduce costs through improved visibility of the location and condition of every container.

The tracking solution works in conjunction with and extends the capabilities of Moeco Act Trackers, which use 4G and 5G cellular networks, and support 2G and 3G network data gathering, to provide logistics companies with real-time access to geolocation, temperature, humidity, light, and shock data for their pallets and packages.

Real-time tracking allows for the automatic acceptance of goods at intermediate points of the supply chain and reduces the number of goods that need to be checked manually. Since conditions are continuously monitored, only goods that have violated the conditions of transportation require manual checks by staff, thus reducing checkpoint labour costs.

Available today in more than 180 countries, the container monitoring solution is the most affordable, reliable and future-proof on the market. Moeco’s solution enables logistics companies to align with recent industry moves, such as the announcement from German shipping line Hapag-Lloyd that it plans to equip its entire container fleet with real-time tracking devices during 2023.

Moeco’s container tracker is also convenient, taking just two minutes to fit and activate, compared with other solutions that require as much as 20 minutes. The tracker is designed to operate for 10 years without maintenance, and enables container operators to increase revenue from 5 to 10 percent per container by providing a smart container-monitoring service that eliminates the need for manual checks.

“We are already monitoring the supply chain in real time down to the pallet level, but the container tracker drastically improves supply chain transparency. It links data from pallet trackers to a separate container, which allows the user to determine not only the status, but also the exact location of the cargo. With our help, container operators can provide a completely new level of service and drive additional revenue.”

Alexa Sinyachova, co-founder and CEO of Moeco

Logistics companies can access analytics on shipments in real time through a cloud platform via dashboards and receive regular updates via email and SMS. Moeco is the only tracking company to provide customers with full ownership of their data.

About Moeco
Moeco is an end-to-end shipment tracking and monitoring solution for logistics companies. We are reimagining the industry’s future by reducing labor costs and improving the quality of service through IoT and big data. We offer cost-effective, disposable mini-trackers that are easily affixed to any shipment, and a cloud platform that provides real-time data about a shipment's location as well as its conditions such as temperature, humidity, shock and light exposure. Shipment data from 180+ countries can be monitored in the Moeco Dashboard, and 100 percent of this data remains the property of our clients.

Juniper Networks Announces Additional Versatility and Flexibility for Data Center Operations with Expansion to Apstra Software

Juniper Networks | September 17, 2022

Juniper Networks a leader in secure, AI-driven networks, today announced Apstra Freeform, the newest expansion to its multivendor data center automation and assurance platform. This capability allows Juniper’s enterprise, service provider and cloud provider customers to manage and automate their data center operations regardless of topology and protocols used. Network operations are rapidly evolving. Whether it’s managing the effects of a global supply chain crunch or coping with changes in the workforce spurred by the pandemic, organizations of all sizes and sectors face architectural questions that will shape how they build their data centers. Sole sourcing will become multivendor, configuration will become intent-driven and root-cause identification and remediation will become automated. Juniper Apstra was built from the ground up to address this new era of operations. Apstra Freeform aims to unify experiences across vendors and automate key data center workflows as the single source of truth for data center configuration. Freeform builds upon Apstra’s powerful intent-based networking capabilities for full lifecycle data center management across a range of data center topologies and vendors, enabling a reliable user experience that encompasses the following key features: New reference design covering any topology. With this new software release, Apstra simplifies IT operations by extending its intent-based networking capability to any protocol, any topology and any network domain. Customers can now choose the architecture that fits their business needs while taking advantage of Apstra capabilities. Reliable operations. Apstra’s role as the single source of truth enables data center designs to be applied consistently, every time. Closed-loop feedback provides IT professionals with reliable operations across disparate infrastructure. Value now accessible to more customers. As part of this new release, Juniper is introducing a new Apstra licensing model. Freeform extends Apstra capabilities to significantly more use cases.
