Hyperoptic Selects EXFO to Accelerate Fibre Optic Network Deployment

Hyperoptic, a leading full-fiber broadband provider, announced today that it had chosen advanced network testing technology from EXFO Inc., the communications industry's test, monitoring, and analytics experts, to support its ambitious expansion plan across the United Kingdom.

Hyperoptic is a nationwide internet service provider (ISP) that owns and operates its dedicated fiber-optic network. It provides services ranging from multi-dwelling units to single houses in over 40 UK towns and cities, and it is expanding its presence through partnerships with over 250 developers and 50 councils.

This scale's deployment requires a strategy that prioritizes both speed and quality: a "first-time-right" build is critical for core network infrastructure. This technique also mitigates a significant challenge to bottom lines in the form of costly return visits to address connection issues—these additional "truck rolls" more than double the testing costs. 1 EXFO's cloud-based Nova Fiber solution will not only enable Hyperoptic to build their network correctly the first time, but it will also enable the service provider's teams to detect and solve common issues in the network at a single point of intervention, with only one truck roll.
