At Infocomm 2019, which kicks off Saturday, June 8, in Orlando, FL, Audinate will introduce the Dante Application Library for Windows and MacOS, a library and API allowing developers to build Dante into software applications, and the Dante Embedded Platform, a software implementation of Dante for products running on Linux with commodity x86- and ARM-based hardware. “This is an inflection point in the AV industry,” said Audinate CEO Lee Ellison in a prepared statement. “The decreasing costs, increasing computational power and improved flexibility of the software approach will enable manufacturers and developers to deploy Dante into a plethora of next generation AV products. The option to go with a software-based implementation will enable OEMs to add Dante functionality to existing products without a major redesign and will drive further growth for networked Dante endpoints.”
