The 15th ACM/IEEE Symposium on Architectures for Networking and Communications Systems (ANCS '19)

September 24-25, 2019 | UK

The conference—and all activities unless otherwise noted—will be held at the TBD. The EuroP4 2019 workshop will be held in conjunction with the conference on September 23, 2019 ACM/IEEE ANCS is the premier forum for presenting and discussing original research that explores the relationship between the algorithms and architectures of data communication networks and the hardware and software elements from which these networks are built, including both experimental and theoretical analysis. To recognize and foster the increasing importance of research into the co-design of computer and network systems, the conference also places an emphasis on systems issues arising from the interaction of computer and network architectures.

Layer123: Origins

July 20-21, 2021 | USA

When software-defined networking arrived on the scene in 2012, the possibilities were enormous – but operators were cautious. What are the real advantages of network virtualization? If we disaggregate our software from our hardware, will our customers see a benefit? And how can we make it pay? Nearly a decade on, plenty of operators have virtualized their networks and implemented real service improvements, like 5G and network automation – made possible by this this disaggregation. But there are plenty of network owners around the world, particularly in markets such as Africa and Latin America, have yet to capitalise on the cost savings and service improvements associated with starting the SDN journey.
