Telit FN980 Certified for Use on T-Mobile's 5G Network

Telit, a global Internet of Things (IoT) enabler, announced today that T-Mobile has approved its FN980 5G module for usage on its 5G nationwide network. The FN980 module series enables businesses to utilize 5G and Gigabit LTE to future-proof IoT, business apps, and video. In addition, this certification allows businesses to use T-5G Mobile's network on the sub-6 GHz spectrum.

The FN980 is based on the new 3GPP Rel. 15 standard and is compatible with NSA and SA 5G deployment scenarios. The Telit module, which features the M.2 form factor and is powered by the second-generation Qualcomm® SnapdragonTM X55 5G Modem-RF System, is ideal for high-performance and bandwidth-intensive industrial applications such as fixed wireless access, enterprise routers and gateways, customer-premises equipment, video streaming, and more.

The FN980 series has been globally certified, giving OEMs, system integrators, and end-users extra, independent assurance that their FN980-based products will operate as expected on all major mobile operator networks worldwide.
