Parallel Wireless and Neptune Communications - The Caribbean's First Mission Critical Band 14 Open RAN Networks Providing Broadband Connectivity
Parallel Wireless, Inc., a U.S.-based Open RAN company that provides the world's leading All G, O-RAN compliant, cloud-native Open RAN solution, and Neptune Communications, a specialist public safety communications service provider, have announced the delivery of the Caribbean's first O-RAN compliant 4G LTE solution.

Parallel Wireless provides a compact Open RAN network solution to Neptune's 4G LTE connectivity service platform, which will provide resilient, mission-essential voice and data service to important government agencies in Barbados. This collaboration takes use of Barbados' recent allocation of 700 MHz B14 spectrum to Neptune Communications.

Neptune Communications, in collaboration with Parallel Wireless, will extend its wireless network service platform to offer robust, next-generation digital services to improve regional governments' capacities by:

• Building a world-class, compact, cloud-native Open RAN network solution on Parallel Wireless' high-performance, distributed architecture.

• The adoption of RAN automation improves service agility while lowering the overall Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) across geographically dispersed sites.

• Using industry-leading applications to optimize the effect on day-to-day public safety operations.

According to Julian Jordan, CEO of Neptune Communications, "Parallel Wireless has demonstrated exceptional technical leadership in this space, allowing us to deliver a match solution. It will alter the regional communications environment for mission-critical communications. Because public safety/disaster recovery agencies play outsized roles in this area of the globe in the face of enormous challenges facing the region, allowing them will have a multiplier impact on the region's economic prospects.
We look forward to working with Parallel Wireless now and in the future."

Parallel Wireless President Keith Johnson said, "We are pleased and proud to collaborate with Neptune Communications, which provides cutting-edge, next-generation Open RAN networks that enable 4G LTE services for critical applications across the Caribbean. We look forward to working together in 2021 and beyond."
