mtc-technologies-harnesses

Adtran today announced that MTC Technologies is using its Total Access 5000 (TA5000) 10Gbit/s fiber access platform to provide Gigabit broadband services to customers in Southeast Iowa. Also featuring Adtran’s optical network terminals (ONTs), the new solution enables MTC Technologies to rapidly expand its footprint and deliver symmetrical, super-fast connectivity to more subscribers, including those in hard-to-reach rural locations. By connecting underserved communities, the energy-efficient and easily scalable full-fiber infrastructure is helping foster digital empowerment and breaking down the state’s digital divide.

“Among the reasons we chose Adtran’s technology were its effortless deployment and reliable operation. We wanted a solution that could be swiftly installed, function seamlessly and reduce troubleshooting to a minimum. This allows us to focus on what we do best: providing an exceptional service to our customers,” said Marc Carlson, GM of MTC Technologies. “Unlike some other vendors, Adtran’s team consistently provides outstanding support. With Adtran, there are no hidden fees and charges; what you see is genuinely what you get. Their commitment to transparency and unwavering focus on customer satisfaction sets Adtran apart from the rest of the pack.”

Adtran’s TA5000 is now playing a crucial role in connecting parts of Iowa where broadband infrastructure was absent or insufficient. The solution’s modular design and capacity to support various access protocols enable MTC Technologies to meet its customers’ needs while rapidly expanding. The new FTTH infrastructure is further enhanced by Adtran’s SDX 620 Series of flexible XGS-PON ONTs, which deliver cost-effective converged residential and business services. The network will bring new digital experiences to many more MTC Technologies subscribers, whether collaborating on projects, streaming high-definition entertainment or connecting with friends and family across the globe.

“High-quality internet access transforms how communities interact and can empower groups and individuals to achieve great things. MTC Technologies understands this. That’s why it’s leveraging our technology to facilitate next-generation connectivity in a range of long-underserved locations,” commented John Scherzinger, GM of Americas sales at Adtran. “Our TA5000 is helping more Iowans connect with each other and the wider world. What’s more, our flexible XGS-PON solution ensures that MTC Technologies’ network can easily expand to support future growth in data demand.”

PR Newswire | October 10, 2023

TOMIA, the market leader in roaming and interconnect monetization solutions, and Cumucore, the leading non-public network provider, announce the successful completion of the integration of their respective SEPPs (Security Edge Protection Proxy) to enable secure 5G Standalone (SA) roaming connectivity. This is the first record of successful 5G SA roaming connectivity with SEPP through different vendors. This milestone is a step forward in enabling 5G SA roaming and emerging services focused on enhanced Quality of Service (QoS) for the mobile operator community and private networks. By combining TOMIA's roaming optimization expertise and Cumucore's comprehensive connectivity solutions, this partnership presents an opportunity for the two vendors to test the functionality of the new built-in 5G security mechanisms in different roaming scenarios. TOMIA and Cumucore conducted a Proof of Concept (PoC) to validate their SEPP interoperability according to 3GPP guidelines from dedicated fully virtualized 5G packet core networks. Ilana Tidhar, TOMIA's Network Products Director, said, "Achieving the first 5G SA Roaming integration using SEPPs from different vendors leaves a significant mark in the industry. SEPP is a crucial function of 5G Roaming, not only for ensuring secure communications, but also for adding value to the roaming business. Vercara launches UltraDNS TLD to Provide High Availability, Redundancy to TLDs

Business Wire | October 19, 2023

Vercara, a leading provider of cloud-based services that secure the online experience, is introducing UltraDNS TLD, a global anycast network that provides Top Level Domain (TLD) DNS services to help customers meet high availability and redundancy demands, as well as regulatory compliance standards. UltraDNS TLD is a cloud-based solution that ensures business continuity and optimum availability for TLDs, providing fast, reliable query responses through a global network of 47 nodes. We have successfully delivered these services to a select set of customers for over a decade, and we’re thrilled to now launch this product to a wider market, said Carlos Morales, senior vice president of solutions at Vercara. We have designed this offering to meet a growing need for better security and availability within the industry, building upon our deep experience. Not only is this a crucial step in strengthening the UltraDNS product line by including TLD support, but it also furthers Vercara’s broader, collaborative goal of securing every online interaction. Customers can also depend on UltraDNS TLD for compliance with Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) Registry and Registrar TLD standards. UltraDNS TLD and Vercara network provisioning meet all TLD ICANN requirements. With full visibility on the platform, users will be able to see both queries and regulatory reports sent to ICANN. This solution can be used alongside an existing network to provide redundancy or customers can take advantage of UltraDNS TLD2. UltraDNS TLD2 is a fully redundant solution that consists of two distinct networks working together to provide TLD nameserver resolution with location, network, transit, and operational redundancy. The combined networks ensure that TLDs will reliably respond to queries in the event of local outages or degradation, providing uninterrupted service. These fully redundant networks can work together seamlessly, managed through a single pane of glass. “Availability is the singular, most important thing for TLDs, and UltraDNS TLD provides just that,” said Jose Ernesto Grimaldo, Registry Manager at NIC Mexico. “As a longtime customer of Vercara, we have been fortunate to leverage this solution that not only provides assurance that our digital infrastructure is always reachable, but also solves for pain points when it comes to regulatory compliance.” For more information about UltraDNS TLD, please visit: https://vercara.com/top-level-domain-dns About Vercara Vercara is a purpose-built, global, cloud-based security platform that provides layers of protection to safeguard businesses’ online presence, no matter where attacks originate or where they are aimed.
