CloudGenix Supercharges SD-WAN With Azure Integration

CloudGenix announced an integration between its Autonomous SD-WAN and CloudBlades platform and Microsoft Azure Virtual WAN (vWAN). The company claims the integration will provide remote offices around the world secure, high-speed access to Microsoft’s cloud services. With this integration, CloudGenix aims to address many of the challenges faced by branch offices as enterprises make the transition to the cloud including poor access to cloud applications, inconsistent user experiences, and overall poor performance. CloudGenix achieves this by leveraging its CloudBlades platform to create a secure tunnel from a branch office to the nearest Azure region. There, Cloudblades programs Azure to integrate the enterprise WAN with Azure’s network. CloudGenix can then analyzes all the available paths to optimize application delivery. Unlike other SD-WAN vendors, CloudGenix utilizes application signatures, fingerprints, and requests made to identify applications rather than relying solely on packets. The approach allows users to define business policies based on the specific application and its use — not just the protocol.
