In  a lecture entitled : “Ubiquitous 5G wireless revolution:Matters arising”, during the University  of Lagos Engineering Set (ULESET) of 1999 Anniversary and Reunion Dinner last Saturday at the Sheraton Hotel,Adekola said the 5G wireless network  will not only ensure super-fast internet download and connectivity, but aid rapid improvement in education, health care delivery, general routines of daily living among others. “One of the benefits of 5G is access speed. It is 50 times faster than 4G.  If you want to download with 4G, it takes 10 minutes, but with 5G,it will be less than four  seconds. “Then, students will be able to access information on the internet with ease. For instance, Google has replaced dictionaries,” he said. He also noted that it will improve the healthcare system as doctors will be able to perform real-time surgeries in double quick time. While noting that the 5G enabled Technological Revolution would completely reshape people’s lives, he explained that Robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robo-Wristwatch, RoboContact Lens, BrainNet among others would make life easy for all.
