Cyber crime is a major concern for any organization planning to implement and administer network services. The stakes have never been higher; in fact, cyber crime is so prevalent today that, were it a country, it would have the 13th highest GDP in the world.
The problem is not abating. The number of attacks is growing 10 percent each year, and the financial damage these attacks inflict is growing as well. Given the current situation, it is clear that network architects must make security a high priority when developing the network.
